WATERFORD DEVELOPMENT WINS BEAUTIFICATION AWARD FOR PALLADIUM

Reston, Va. – The Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce presented Waterford Development with the McLean Beautification Award for the Reston-based developer’s mixed-use project, the Palladium, located in downtown McLean. Presented at the 2006 community awards banquet, the award recognizes new buildings or additions to existing buildings that enhance the image of the McLean community. The Board of Directors at the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce selected the Palladium for the award.

The Palladium was designed to anchor McLean’s urban revitalization plans and includes luxury condominiums, an outdoor water sculpture designed by Baltimore artist Rodney Carroll, office and retail space featuring Star Nut Gourmet, an upscale confectionery. Waterford Development worked closely with the McLean Revitalization Corporation on the project.

“Waterford Development is thrilled to have the Palladium honored as a project that adds to the overall appeal and elegance of downtown McLean,” said Mr. Jan Zachariasse, president and CEO of Waterford Development. “We wanted to make the Palladium an exceptional part of the community, and we thank the Chamber of Commerce for supporting that vision.”

The Palladium features 69 high-end condominiums, 10,000 square feet of retail space and 6,000 square feet of office space. The Palladium is located near the intersection of Chain Bridge Rd and Old Dominion, in the heart of McLean.
