WATERFORD DEVELOPMENT WELCOMES CHRISTOPHER BORST AS VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS


Reston, Va. – Waterford Development announced that Christopher Borst has been hired as vice president of operations, based in the company’s Durham, N.C. location. Borst will focus on expanding Waterford’s presence in the state through opportunities in development and acquisition as well as relationship partnering. Borst has more than 25 years of experience in real estate, which includes managing the acquisition, planning and development of projects throughout North Carolina and Virginia.

Prior to joining Waterford Development, Borst served as vice president of development for US Land Investments, LLC, based in Charlotte, N.C. While in this position, Borst was responsible for the land planning and design of several developments, including the 310,000 square foot Union Commons, a mixed use development in Monroe, N.C., as well as the analysis of development and acquisition opportunities throughout the Carolinas.

Borst, who is originally from New York, spent the first part of his career in Northern Virginia and has been active in North Carolina’s real estate industry for more than eleven years. He is a licensed general contractor and received a degree in building construction from the University of New York. Borst and his wife, Sharon, are boating enthusiasts and enjoy playing sports with their two sons, Connor and Alex.
