WATERFORD DEVELOPMENT DONATES $1 MILLION
TO MCLEAN REVITALIZATION CORPORATION

Reston, VA – The town of McLean’s Revitalization Corporation received a check in the amount of $1 million December 2 from Waterford Development LLC, a Reston-based developer. Waterford President and CEO Jan A. Zachariasse presented the check Friday night as a part of the developer’s pledge to continue its commitment and dedication to giving back to the communities in which it builds.

“The citizens of McLean offered us their support and enthusiasm as we sought project approval and began building The Palladium,” explained Zachariasse. “We couldn’t have completed this project without their involvement, and felt the community should share the results of that effort.”

The event was held at The Palladium sales center, where those in attendance included Commissioner Joan Dubois and former Supervisor Stuart Mendelsohn. The Palladium, one of Waterford’s mixed-use, luxury condominium buildings, was designed to anchor downtown revitalization efforts and includes a terraced park and water sculpture that will serve as a gathering place for community residents.

“Waterford truly understands our mission to revitalize our community,” said President of the McLean Revitalization Corporation Lane Gaebler. “Their generous donation will help us fulfill that vision.”

Waterford Development, recently named the Metropolitan area’s 15th largest homebuilder, is a full-service real estate development company headquartered in Reston, Virginia, with an office in Raleigh, North Carolina.
